Well back to the blog mill Deja Stew!

Been trying to work out why I havent been blogging and couldnt think of any good reason. Well what been happening.

Went to an Adult Learning Services meeting sbout Self Asessment Report or SARS (you still awake) things you ahve to do for the  money, no pain without gain I suppose. Also took some nice photos of Arthur and Shirley’ back entries …well there’s nowt dodgey, its jsut that they have turned there back entry into a plant plethora, as opposed to ours on this side of the road which has mattresses and binbags as opposed to begonias and buddhas. They bought me a 99er off the ice cream man for my troubles, I am too cheap arent I but it was worth it, as the 99er had sherbet on it as well, Shirley had a Mivvi.

Also had a meeting with local artit about a stew and cermaic based arts porjects in the near future

Me and the acceptable face of KensingtonVision (or Sheila as she is better known) went to the Wetherspoons Quiz Night and we won the £25 first prize (there wasnt a second prize)……I’ll jsut spend spend spend…

I was designing a picture to put on the outside of the Hetherlow Centre in Walton, I popped over yesterday to see what it was like, it’s not bad is it?

Nearly back to Normality

Well it’s a week since the equipment was packed up and the signal turned off and I’m nealry back to a sleep pattern worth talking about. The resolve, ingenuity and resourcefullness shown by everyone was incredible and has made me more resolved to ensure the KVFM turns into something more permanent.

Initially we want to start up an online version of KVFm, the shows would be podcasted for listen again and we would produce 20 hours of live shows a week, over a five day period. This would be run by the cohort of people who took part as presenters in KVFm 2009, I’ve got task them yet!

We also would like to try and do RSLs more often (every six months) this all leads up to a bid for a full time licence in 2010/11. I’m too tired to think beyond that though.

The Extraordinary Garden of Hetherlow Community Centre

Just finished these designs for some external screens which will go on the outside of Hetehrlow Community Centre in Walton. More pictures in situ when they are installed.

 

Bloody Vista-third time lucky maybe?

Just bought another laptop with Vista on it, the story so far is this is the third one in just over a year, the first one was an insurance replacement in September 07 which I ended up selling on ebay, at that point I couldnt do anything productive with it like video editing or photoshop as all these programmes used to crash on the early version of Vista, bought another one six months later same prob (Sent it back to amazon and bought an HP laptop with XP installed ) and now have a got one, another HP laptop, with 4g ram and 350 HD for 400 nicker from ebuyer (who I seem to be buying exclusively from at the moment, just a printer from there today), it can dual boot but Im gonna try and do some editing and image work with it this week before loading XP (which in itself could be quite torturous) I’ll let you know what happens, for normal every day stuff, WP, internet its fine except I have to reboot the router as it seems to forget how to log on which is a pain in the arse.

Good news Bad news, historically speaking

Wheyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hey Kensington now officially is the place which has the city’s first purpose built licenced cinema…..hurrah. Go and visit Wetherspoons which was the Picturedrome, first one in the city…..blah blah blagh

How do I know this, well the other cinema which counter claimed this unique historic title (the other cinema is/was in Walton), has sadly been demolished to build…er….apartments….except…well you know the rest, the grass on the site looks really nice though…..
